For my gift guides this year, I am focusing on sharing items that I actually own and love. This post includes a few fun items mixed with a lot of everyday essentials, which I think can make great stocking stuffers you know she will actually use.

1. Homemade Treats
Every year, I make muddy buddies, chex mix and, since moving to Ohio, buckeyes. I wrap these in little bags with custom tags from Etsy and put them in my friends and family’s stockings or pair them with their gifts. Making homemade treats adds an extra special touch and gives you a holiday activity to help get in the Christmas spirit.
2. Car Phone Charger
A car phone charger is essential for anyone with a cell phone. If she doesn’t already have one, a car phone charger would make a perfect stocking stuffer.
3. Toiletries
I feel like there are two approaches to filling a stocking. 1: curated mini gifts, and 2: everyday essentials. Everyday essentials, such as toiletries, make great stocking stuffers because they are (relatively) affordable items that you know they will actually use. Think toothpaste, body wash, lotion, deodorant, micellar water, make-up remover, shaving cream, razors, body spray – anything you know she uses.
A refillery gift card is also a great gift or stocking stuffer if you have a local refillery in your area.
4. Heir Raleigh Jewelry
If you are going for a more curated stocking, Heir Raleigh jewelry is some of my favorite jewelry that is actually pretty affordable. I have bracelets from Heir that I haven’t taken off in 1.5+ years, and they are still in near-perfect condition. Plus, the brand’s earrings don’t bother my sensitive ears, it’s a small business and Sophie, the owner, is an NC State alumni. Heir Raleigh jewelry also makes a great gift, if you are in need of Christmas gift ideas for her.
5. Satin Pillow Case
They say that stain pillowcases are the best for skin and hair because they reduce breakage. I can’t attest to how true this statement is, but I do use a satin pillowcase myself, just in case.
6. Reusable Straws & Straw Cleaners
Now one thing I can attest to, on the other hand, is reusable straws. I am already a drink girlie, and reusable straws just make every drink better.
7. Makeup
Makeup is another great stocking stuffer for her if you know what makeup she uses, have a personal favorite, or know of a popular item she should sample.
8. Bitten Bakery Cookies
Bitten Bakery’s cookies are some of my and my boyfriend’s favorite cookies. It is a small business out of Raleigh, N.C., but the company does ship, and they have amazing seasonal flavors.
9. Hair Products
Hair products, such as hairspray, heat protectant, texturizing spray and hair gel can make great stocking stuffers, too.
10. Gift Cards
If you have a bigger budget for her stocking, a gift card to any of her favorite places, such as Target, Sephora, Starbucks or a small business, would make a great gift.
11. Hyrdo Flask Straw Lid
If she has a Hydro Flask but doesn’t have a straw lid, this would be a great stocking stuffer. If you are adding this to her stocking, I would also add straw cleaners because cleaning these lids is very important.
12. Reusable Dryer Balls
I just purchased these for myself so I haven’t had a chance to try them out yet, but these reusable dryer balls are supposed to make your clothes dry faster while eliminating the need for fabric softener or single-use dryer sheets. Three dryer balls are recommended for regular-sized loads, and six or more are recommended for large loads. If she does laundry and is into cutesy or sustainable things, she may be interested in trying these, too.
13. Reusable Vegetable Bags
My desire for reusable vegetable bags started with my frustration over trying to pull apart the thinner-than-paper plastic bags at the grocery store. I thought that there had to be something easier and more sustainable, and it led to my journey of reducing my waste. I bought these reusable vegetable bags from FEED, and they are now a necessity of mine for the grocery store.
14. Beauty Blenders
Beauty blenders are another day-to-day essential that would make a great stocking stuffer.
15. De-Piller
If she doesn’t have a de-piller or sweater shaver, she needs one. They make it easy to remove pills from sweaters and other clothing items and are life-changing for bringing your well-loved pieces back to life.
16. Skincare Products
Like the makeup, if you know of any skincare products she regularly uses, consider adding these to her stocking this year.
17. Hair Ties
Hair ties are one of those things that always seem to disappear, making them a great thing to include in a stocking.
18. Sunscreen
Did you know that we should wear sunscreen every single day? They make tons of great sunscreens that can be worn with everyday makeup. I personally use Supergoop.
19. Nail Polish
If she paints her own nails or toenails, a fun nail polish can also make a great and easy stocking stuffer. This is my favorite color.
20. Wine Stopper
At the full age of 24, I still didn’t own a wine stopper. My boyfriend’s mom added this wine stopper to our stocking last year, and we love it because it comes with a pump that secures the stopper and helps keep the wine from going bad.
If she is new to adulthood, there may be other kitchen necessities, such as measuring spoons, a wine opener, a can opener, etc.
21. Phone Screen Protector
Ever since I cracked my first iPhone screen, screen protectors have been essential. Check out the options available at your local phone store, because many of them have a warranty that allows you to get a free replacement if the screen protector gets cracked.
